The best laid plans of mice and men... Due to throttle-body/induction manifold being swapped left to right from the 180 to the 225 this is going to be a plumbers nightmare getting the second intercooler in a 180 without a gaggle of hoses and elbows and clearance probs. Doncha jus HATE it when this happens! Its certainly 'doable'... just not 'cleanly.' You've got to get to the outlet side of the turbo from the left side (as you face the engine) and with a throttle-body on the left side also, you have to do a switch-back somewhere. First thought that jumps into my mind is IF the induction rail is swappable end-for end in the X-axis. Throttle bodies dont mind if they run upside down and if the individual runners are on a 90 degree + or - a smidge angle to the plenum, then that might be just the answer. If thats so this should be "cake", relatively speaking. Anybody else have a clue in looking at these two pics. Two heads/four eyes and up are better than one. |

its cooling however it can find it. Some use water passages and circulate water around their bearings while others are like most motorclycles and old beetles... air cooled.
