Any interest in a fog light mod tech article that..

updates the information with an exhaustive description and pictures?
Also included info on increasing the wattage on the bulbs, with relays of course, and a xenon attention flasher useful in situations where extremely limited visibility is present, heavy fog and downpouring rain (visibility of my rear end for other approaching drivers) and arguments with responses to various issues related to the fog light positioning and reasoning.

If you think this would be useful please respond.

I meant the rear fog panel. The fronts can use 100 watt h3's/ with relays of course, if you need to brighten things up with a lens to enhance yellows for visibility.

I am going to do those with the headlamps in the next week, and I'll follow up with a submission (if it even gets published, they've been kind so far).

It's DANGEROUS to have extra bright rear fogs.

If the visibility is that poor, get off the freaking road. If it's not that poor, you don't need them.

What problem are you trying to solve? Do you know *why* they have standards in Europe for rear lights?

Oh, and by the way, you *will* mount your reflectors and possibly your lenses.

which warrant it's use. Those include - Whiteout snow storms duing the day, very dense fog day or night if you deem it necessary, very heavy rain during they day. At night, unless you have a hard time seeing marker lights of the car directly in front of you, you DO NOT NEED to use your fog light. I've been in fog in Germany where you literally couldn't see the car in front of you unless it had the fog light on at night. You can't see the road, or anything. Basically, driving is not at all safe.

Here's a photo for reference I took of my wife's car with the rear fog on in a snow storm. In this shot, it looks much brighter than it did in real life..

Well that would preclude the problem I mentioned in my tech article (pattern recognition and distinction).

Uh.. what the hell does the "germany" reference have to do with anything? Do they have weather we'll never see in California? Probably the percentage of disciplined drivers is much higher over there I would imagine. That is not the case here in California.

And...if my car is seen (california traffic is a different animal altogether, with people tailgating you doing 70 mph with 20 feet of visibility in foggy conditions quite frequently resulting in 60+ car pileups). SO MUCH THE BETTER. Read the tech article if you don't understand the reasoning behind the modification(s). to the rear lighting array I did.

Being beat up over a topic is how ideas become clarified, and issues resolved, so I don't really mind it at all.
