Default Paging Boston Driver...or anyone with an M3 spoiler.

Hope you got you car back and all is well. I was curious where you got your spoiler? If anyone else has some advise on where to pick one up ...I'm not looking for the cheapest...quality first ...then cost.

Default M5 spoiler, got mine on Ebay, typhoon motors, but they seem to be gone.

I pre-bent mine and others here have had corners pop up! OEM might be the best shot!

Rules of turbo ownership!
1. Let them warm up until the oil temp gets to 175 degrees (at least). 2. Likewise, after a "spirited" run, let them cool off for a couple of minutes before you shut off the engine. 3. Use full synthetic engine oil - 0-40 is best!
These rules apply regardless of the ambient temperature. A little caution should mean longer turbo life.

To clarify, this doesn't mean you have to sit in your driveway for 5 minutes and let it warm up or cool down, it means you should use common sense and take it easy when you start/finish your trip.

Default BTW, from others here they may be some quality issues with the other vendors on Ebay!

Default If I could do it over again, I'd go OEM BMW part.

Default Mine was OEM BMW that I bought off ebay...

and it was already painted at the factory. Total cost was $170 or so, and the quality is very high, especially since it had factory finish, and there was no bending required to shape to the trunk. Cost unpainted at the BMW dealer about $140. Not sure how much someone would charge for painting, but I would go OEM again in a heartbeat!

Default I also vote for OEM BMW is the way to go. Mine was from xoxoracing (ebay) and I ended up doing . .

quite a bit of sanding and bending to make it right. Looks great now, but for the time I ended up spending, I'd go OEM BMW the next time.
