Default Yes. The finish on my brother and father's BMWs is far more durable.

Actually, the parts of the car that have been repained actually hold up better than the factory paint.

Default For the most part yes.

The paint on my wife's Mercedes is quite tough though. Though the 2002 S6 seemed better than my 2000 S4....

Default I've never said that "BMW's are better", but certain aspects of them

are ALWAYS better than Audis and that is troubling.

You're a real ass if you think I am just bashing Audi's paint because I've had problems with my car. If you want to think that everything on these cars is on par with BMW, just go ahead and keep lying to yourself.
