Default New RS6 Owner!

Hello,

I just purchased a 2003 Audi RS6 from a dealer in NJ over the Internet. I hope to pick this car up next weekend. I have only driven a 2002 A6 2.6T that was highly modified and a manual. After reading up on the car and some advice by a few friends that are Audi nuts, I decided to give it a try myself. I have always been a BMW guy and still own a '91 850i six speed (12 cylinder, highly modified no less).

Anyway, just wanted to drop a note here since this seems to be the most populated Audi forum site on the 'net that I can determine. I also hang out on Roadfly.com for the E31 BMW crowd, but they do not have an Audi forum.

I'll drive the car stock for awhile and look into the AWE ECU and transmission chip upgrades... looks interesting at 520HP with 93 octane. Anyone have this modification on their RS6? Comments on the performance and reliability?

Here are the photos of my car from the dealer.

Oh yeah, how do I post multiple pictures in the same post? I tried a few times without any luck.

Default Picture of my BMW 850i - My other drug of choice ;-)

H&R Springs, Bilstein Sport shocks, Conforti ECU chips (2) for each 6 cylinder bank, AC shifter, pedals, parking brake aluminum bits. 18" Staggered M-Parallels, Fulda Carat VR tires, Alpine with Sirius and I-Pod interface, window tint, Eisenmann Stainless Steel custom race exhaust... lots of love and detail work.

Believe it or not the RS6 will be my daily driver used for business and trips around the Southeast. I live in Atlanta, GA.

Default Beautiful cars! Welcome to the forum!!

You even bought the faster color...!!!

Before you chip, check the boards for issues - tranny is an issue (you are the second person I've warned today -- it must be a sign...)

considering your already have a gearhead toy in the Bimmer, you might want to keep the RS stock...just my opinion, I have extended warranty, so if I play any games with my Beast it will be in 2010

have fun driving..you will love it as a daily driver -- I used to drive 45 miles each way to work -- what a blast!

peace!

Default There are a lot of Audi/BMW owners on the board

We'll have to get together so you can give me the scoop on this car. I know just about everything on the E31, E36 and E39 BMW models but not very much on the "Beast" I love that. I have also heard "Lord of the Rings"? Let's go take a drive to the North GA mountains. My wife's uncle lives in Blairsville and I love to take the twisty way up to see him for a couple hours then come back down again after they feed me with good Southern cook'in! I'm from California LOL!
