Anyone hear of Xylon Paint Sealant?
I dont know how they spell it, but my girlfriend just had her dealer put it on her new MB. it was about $500. they told her that it was used to coat the paint, interior and rims. it is used on jets. You dont need to wax the car for years and anything that hits the paint will come right off. I can't find any info on the internet on it. Anybody have info?
Thanks,
Drew

I saw something like that on TV a few weeks ago. It was used to protect
windows/wheels from overspray during repaints. The stuff I saw wasn't permanent though, and could easily be peeled off by hand (kinda like a 3M kit.) And I hate to state the obvious, but why don't you just ask the MB dealer about it?

Zylon. It's a form of polyurethane.
Never heard of a transparent form but it should be possible.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zylon</a

It is Xzilon, and its just a paint sealant...
...I doubt it is worth $500 or even costs the dealership anywhere near that...they are just padding the profit margin on the sale.
Best bet is to have a professional take your new car and do it for much less.

http://www.xzilon.com/</a
