Default 7-eleven gas any good?

the shell near my house is way over priced 93 octane at 7-eleven is $1.90 at shell it's $2.30

thats a lot imo.. is their gas that good or are they just gouging? so anyway, where does 7/11 get their gas from and is it crap?

Default Never heard of such a big difference in price between brands...

But to answer your question: No, I would never us 7-11 gas. Except in a rental car that I was about to return.

Default They used to partner with Citgo, until...

...Chavez opened his mouth a few years ago. Since then, 7-Eleven switched to its own branded gasoline...provided by Tower Energy, Sinclair Oil, Frontier Oil, and other US companies. In other parts of the world, they continue to partner with major providers, like Shell in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.

Default Re: Never heard of such a big difference in price between brands...

shell:

89 $1.79
91 $2.05
93 $2.25

7-eleven

89 $1.67
91 $1.78
93 $1.90

funny thing is the shell is right across the street from 7/11. how the hell they stay in buisness from people that drive lambos, audi's and porsche?

i've always put gas at the shell but the pricing makes me wonder what the hell shell is putting in their gas to justify the prices.

No, the additive package is inferior. May as well switch to conventional oil while you are at it.

Default Damn - I'm tempted to say if you can't afford a good brand of gas - why did you buy the car

lol im far from cheap.. what if you could save $100 a month by switching gas?

anyway that's not the point, just wanted to know about their gas.. paying more does not always mean better.. i know shell is good but was curious about 7/11.

Default You sure drive a lot! Saving $100/month by saving $0.40 on gas = 250 gallons of gas.

You realize there are 6 gears?
