Default Moving to Germany and Q's about repairs

Hello all,

I am moving to Germany next february and had some general questions about repairs for my 01.5 b5 s4. On average, are repairs cheaper in germany? I have some work that needs to be done, and I wouldn't mind waiting till I get there if the labor and parts would be cheaper (my intuition tells me that this would be the case as it is domestic there.

Any clarification would be appreciated, thank you!

Where are you moving from?

If your in the states its probably cheaper to get it fixed there.

Just as an Example; A guy I worked with had the turbos replaced on his 01.5 S4 and it was a little over 1500 euro at the Audi Dealership.

Default Moving to Germany and Qs About Repairs

The same thing that raises your cost over here will raise your cost over there: exchange rate. Your net cost will vary widely with fluctuations in the $/€ rate.

If you have a good mechanic that you trust here, get it done before you ship. Good thing is that you shouldn't have too much difficulty finding a mechanic to work on your "furrin" car.

Where are you heading? I had a great independent mechanic when I was in Ramstein...
