Default AUSTIN SHOPS??

Well I've tried to search this topic, but no one seems to answer when this question is asked: Is there somewhere else a person can go for a dependable mechanic that is cheaper than the one dealer we have in Austin. Roger Beasley does its best (like most dealerships) to rape the consumer on labor and marked up parts costs. Guess the good news is they'll wash my car after bending me over!
Anyway, I am looking for a shop that can do it all: exhaust, engine, suspension, electrical, etc...

I realize this is posted to two different threads, but the moment there is some info I will be linking the my threads, or deleting them entirely. Thank you

Sweet, so I have a fair amount of labor intensive work to be done!

Replace:
Control Arms
Engine Wiring Harness

Repair:
Engine Oil Leak - pair of engine gaskets and such

Let me know if you're game and what I'm looking at for down time.

i can do the engine wiring harness for 700 and the valve cover gaskets for another 200.
the other gaskets i dont know what they go to. is it an oil filter flange gasket? or oil filter o-ring?

The "oil filter flange gasket?" You're talking about the oil filter housing gasket right? I have no idea, I know I've already changed it with my first oil change (after seeing the dealer), but don't know if there's another "built-in" gasket within the housing itself. Just assumed Audi would have done something like that to 'F' over the common mechanic.

How long would you need the vehicle? Let me know when you can boss.
