Default OptiCoat on my S6

Picked up my car this morning.

Had OptiCoat professionally applied to the entire car, plus wheels. Pictures don't really do it justice, but it looks amazing. The paint almost has a pearl effect now.

If anyone is in the Orlando area and wants this done, PM me for the guy's info. He did a really good job.

With proper care, it should last the life of the car.

I had Opti-coat done a few weeks ago, even over my Xpel Ultimate film. Besides the perpetually glossy look, I find it easier to clean, especially brake dust removal - I don't need to use Sonax any longer - just soap. Talking with a VP at Optimum, he says there's no need to wax. While it won't hurt to do so, it might provide a more "slippier" feel but the shine won't be much improved, if at all; wax definitely won't provide further paint protection. He also said that if you are going to wax, he recommends only using a detail finisher or (of course) the Optimum Spray wax (which I love). Waxes will not last nearly as long as non Opti-coated surfaces as the wax won't adhere as well to the "shell".

Just curious who did you go with? I literally only found one person in Orlando who does it. Xpert Auto Detailers.

Found my local guy in Wisconsin through authorized dealers on the Opti-coat web site. Just picked up the car yesterday, looks great. I went back and forth on what application (Opti-coat, 22ple, CQuartz, GTech, etc), but went with Opti-coat as it's been around for a while and seems to last the longest.

When I search for opti-coat, I get a couple of websites but cannot seem to find the official manufacturers website. Can you send me a link?

Thanks. Did find this site earlier, but couldn't have told you it was their official site. :-)
