Q5 TDI brake noise
After several weeks of dealing with the brake squeal, specially after stiting outside or overnight. Desided to take the car in for a check up, I was told that many owners are complaining about this (specially in the TDI's) and that AUDI is already working on a solution. (Case number included)
I did not have any issues for the first 5k miles now with 7k it's an every day issue.
Wanted to share for those of you that are in the same boat.
Enjoy,

This is actually good to know and helpful. My understanding is that the TDIs have much larger discs than the gasoline Q5s. I'm about to go in for my 15K service and will make sure to bring it up.
We typically only experience it when first driving, especially reversing. It hasn't been too bad, but they are very loud and sound like crap now.
You mention a case number - is this an Audi case number unique to you, or the issue, or what?
Thanks!

SQ5 brakes are larger. 3.0t has the same size brakes as the TDI. My car's brakes squeal when cold, but it goes away after a few brake applications.

I had my brakes serviced yesterday @ 25400miles. They had to lube the pistons and loosen the tension on the brakes.(im not sure what they meant by that or how it was done) Now its quiet.
