i have enabled race in audi drive select on my sq5 through vcds however it shows up on the screen but doesn't allow me to select it. it reverts back to comfort when selected. is there a way to enable it, maybe doing something in the hidden menu? has anyone gotten it to work.

I have the option of putting offroad moad or race mode, would prefer race mode if I can get it to function.

I've not heard of Race Mode. Can someone explain what it is/does? It certainly sounds like I should want it! Steve

There is an efficency mode, off-road mode, and race mode that we can unlock I just can't get race to activate when I select it. I know there is a way to do it but unsure how.

Near as I can tell it's an R8 thing (RoW, not available here due to legal reasons) and nothing else would be able to activate it. If you're doing the sorts of things that you'd want Race Mode for, you're in the wrong vehicle.

Race mode doesn't apply to the SQ5 not sure why but it won't work regardless of the reason. I've currently have Offroad, comfort, auto, dynamic, and individual displayed. All work just fine

I have Dynamic/Auto/Comfort/Eco supplied from factory - would like to add Off Road, but not sure what it does? And is it related to putting ESP in 'Off Road' mode?

No one know what Off Road mode does?

Because it looks like it's an R8 thing. Saw an article somewhere where the method of activating it on the R8 is to change what leads the battery's hooked up to, so there's not any liability on Audi's side because someone "accidentally" enabled Race Mode and wrapped themselves around a telephone pole or something. It involves ADS setting changes among other things, which is presumably why it's able to be shown in the ADS menu, but unless the underlying system's there and active then the setting wouldn't be able to take effect.
