4000 Quattro 2.7t swap
I'm looking into doing a this swap. The first thing that comes to mind is the flywheel/clutch combo that would need to be used to mate the 4000Q 016 to the 2.7. I would like to keep the stock 2.7 engine management. I have a complete APB ko4 A6 6 spd car with MTM software and downpipes for a donor. It's a 2000 so no imo problems.
Any thoughts, idea, suggestions????

You're in a little bit of virgin territory, but it's totally doable, and is an engine swap that I've seriously considered. In general you want to stick with the flywheel/clutch that the engine needs. That way you know it'll be able to hold the power and will have any necessary timing pins and such. Diameter fitment isn't an issue, since all the transmissions are the same size at the bell housing. I can't think of anything else to consider... You'll definitely know when you have it in front of you.
Definitely do a project thread on it though.

Ya it seems to be a virgin....I have two ideas for the clutch flywheel set up. 1 is to use a modified 2.7 light flywheel (machined flate to accept a MC2 style PP and an 016 240mm disc)this would make my package real close to the total depth of the stock 016 set up. Idea 2. use all 2.7 set up and use one or two of the 2.7 six speed bellhousing spacers to create enough space to fit the deeper clutch/flywheel depth then make a custom lenth slave rod.
