Like a sceen straight out of Transporter 2...
What was to be a celebratory night for what has been an amazing week, all hell broke loose. My best friend and I had stopped at the marina to see where we are keeping the new boat and have a few cocktails with other friends. Out of nowhere, this insane guy in a white Toyota Pickup comes flying past and does a donut 100' behind us. As we pull out of the marina and enter the main road, he comes up behind blairing the horn, moves to the left lane and then hits the driver side of the car. I slow down and he passes. At that point he gets caught up in traffic and I pull in front and to his driver's side. He then hits the passenger side of the car and backs away. We both get out of the car, and I say close while my passenger walks torwards the truck screaming what the f is your problem? The driver of the truck then proceesds to strike him with the truck and takes off hitting the car one addtional time. We followed him for nearly 10 miles while on the phone with FHP and Miami Police waiting for units to apprehend him. He continued in a normal manner until he heard sirens and then sped off, made a u turn and headed straight for us and then disappeared. Fortunately I was able to get the correct tag number and he is is now wanted for hit and run and assault with a deadly weapon. Both sides of the car ar toast but we are fortunate to both be alive and not severly injured and still in confusion as to why this started in the first place.

Just a few bruises and some major emotional trauma...Police were no help until after the fact...
911 hung up on me twice and finally took a call to FHP directly to get then to send units. They did nothing afterwards but say to go back to where it all began and file a report. I found an off duity Miami Police officer who filed the report, ran the tag and got all the guys information and offered any and all assistance he could give. Truly pathetic showing from on duty law enforcement.

Glad you and your friend are okay
There are some freakin scary people on the roads - we witnessed one Saturday weaving from one shoulder to the other and even when the CHP tried to pull him over he just kept driving for miles...

Liam, good to hear you and your friend are OK...
hopefully the miscreant will be apprehended before he hurts someone. Maybe I am being naive but it surprises me to hear that the on-duty police were so disinterested in providing assistance for something that is obviously more than just road rage.
Sorry to see your W12 banged up - at least you have a backup A8 to drive instead of some lame rental car.
