Default Headlight Washer Leak

I have a 2003 A6 and in the past day or so have noticed a BIG washer fluid leak under the passenger side front bumber. I can't see exactly where it's coming from, but it drains 3-4 quartz of fluid in an hour or so. I'm guessing it's something with the hose going to the passenger headlight washer. Is this common, and how big of a deal is it typically to fix.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I searched the archives and discovered that it might be the headlight washer pump, but it looks like this is located on the drivers side at the reservoir. My leak is on the passenger side. Is there just one pump or two? I'm hoping it's just a loose hose or something small...

Default sounds like a loose hose...

you can pull off the grill around the fog light to get a better look.

my leaks have been from the washer cylinders themselves.

good luck!

Default Don't think this is uncommon

Had it a few years, ago. Hose fittings were leaking. Dealer replaced the hoses, under warranty, then.

STFA! No hose involved! If you don't know, BTDT, don't post your "sounds likes" off the wall ideas!

Thanks for the help. It sounds like it shoudn't be too costly of an issue. I may try to take off the fog light grille to get a better look, but will probably take it to the local dealership on Monday and have it fixed.

Default Just did this on my '03...

On the driver's side through. Mine was the cylinder directly under headlamp washer. I think it's a common problem. The driver's side, at least, was somewhat accessible from the top and through the cutout in the front bumper.

Part # was 4Z7-955-979 $61.65 at the dealer.
