Just found a MMI control panel with this switch on it.

I like!

I havent used finger print yet anyway, besides it looks grotty compared with this tidy beauty.

Not going to buy if it costs $400, dont want to spend much more than $100 maybe more if it's good to go.

Anyone want to swap finger for premium or has one to off-load or knows where to get on the cheap??

Here is a link to Audi USA. it's Item #9 in the picture. Its about $100. I'm not sure if you can make it work,( going from a "finger print" to "premium") because I have seen picture of both and it seem they are mounted differently. I'm not a 100% sure on that, but if you can please let us know.

It's not premium, it's used in the 2008 and up. I put it in my 2005 A8 when my original one went bad and it makes the MMI look much nicer. $100 is about the correct price for this part. BTW I have one of these for a Right Hand Drive vehicle (not US) available if anyone needs it.

My 07 does not have this style.

It's on 08's and up. Not 07 in the U.S.

You could always flip a bottle cap upside down write engine start, and glue it on top of your existing push button

All for the cost of a beer...
