Hi everyone,
Since last week, my MMI was acting weird.. No sound but screen or nothing except for the boot screen for 15 second and after that, nothing. I start digging for a solution: all fuse are good, check with vag-com this is what I've got:

Today, I drop the glove box to see if everything was fine around the gateway and the control head and I remove the amp and all the support that hold the radio and the navigation dvd to check if everything was good there. I found the rear windows washer pipe broken with a big stain on the trim around the speaker so I fix everything. Ran an other test to see if everything was ok and this is the result:

Did I broke one optic cable??? How can I know if an optic cable is broken? I plug everything back as it was. If I broke one optic cable, how can we fix it? And for the codes it is worst:

I'm pretty sure the issue start with the broken rear window washer pipe but now this is fix, how can I fix the other issue. Please I need your help.

If the holes broke from the rear window then it sound like your Amp is fryed.
Buy one on ebay and take to the dealer to reprogram.

Hi .. it looks I'm browsing in historical threads... but I had the same problem with MMI in my Q7 - 2007. Exactly what you have described with the same error code (00384 - Optical data bus, open circuit). May you kindly (if you still remember): tell me how it ended, and what was the solution
