Default R8 v10 video. Think this is the real deal?

Looks like the V8 to me. Side blades are unchanged.<ul><li><a href="http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&amp;videoid=3 2821878">http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&amp;videoid=3 2821878</a</li></ul>

Default Wrong exhaust tips, F&R bumpers, side blades, and lower side trim.

Notice the picture I took below at the factory a couple of months ago. The car on the right is a V10 test car (verified by the paperwork on the front seat). It has the wider side blades and wider lower sills. It does not have the V10 version bumpers or the oval tail pipes - most likely because the pipes are attached to the bumper...

It makes no sense to have a test car in the US without at least the modified side blades.

Default I've got to agree with you Liam

That's def not the 4.2 in there. Unless they did some brilliant sound editing.

Audi tests in FL - I saw an R8 and an S5 in melbourne well before they were released.

Default We know Audi tests in Florida.

Audi tests all over the place. I drove a test TT a year before it was released. Whether they test in Florida or not isn't the question.

My point is that it doesn't make sense for Audi to put the normal side blades on it and restrict the air flow...

That video does sound like the V10s I saw at the factory. Too bad it looks like a V8. The V10 looks much better.

Default After Market Exhaust

I would say it is just a 4.2L with an after-market exhaust. I would guess that within the next year, about a 1/4 of all of the R8's now in the country, will also have an after-market exhaust system. To many of us, they just sound too great, and give a significant boost to the car's HP. I am taking my car to Borla Exhaust soon for them to design their new exhaust for the R8. Many companies are doing this for the R8 because they know the potential with the 4.2L engine.
