2014 Q5 TDi S-Line - Compatible plate fillers w/sensors
Howdy guys & gals,
Preface: Yes, I live in CA, and yes, I know its illegal not to have a front plate; I'm just dumb enough to risk the law enforcement attention.
I've had a bit of confusion in finding the plate filler I'd like for my Q5 and I'd love to hear if anyone has any experience in the realm. Here's some detail that might help:
2014 Q5 TDi S-Line, Titanium Package with Parking Sensors
So far, I've been told by my local dealership (Audi San Diego) that either of the following would work:
8R0807287ET94 (gloss black model with parking sensor)
8R0807287E3FZ (matte black version with parking sensors)
However, I stumbled upon this one as well:
8R0807287CT94 (said to fit 2012 and older cars here: http://www.europaparts.com/front-pla...07287ct94.html)
Can anyone confirm or deny the fitment of the last part number on a 2014 Q5 S-Line? I prefer this style because there are no chrome accent lines.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I definitely agree on matching the glossy black grille surround. The only reason I'm trying to find alternatives is that I'm struggling to stomach $300+ for this part and the older one is almost half the price.

If you're patient, eventually you can find a used one for sale. I can't remember where I bought mine (eBay, I think) and it was only about $65 used and in perfect condition.
That being said, it looks like the one in your link would work. The spacing of the slats in your grille is the important part (S-Line v non S-Line). Otherwise, I believe the length of the grille has been the same so the older ones should fit the redesigned Q5.

Not sure what you tested, but I have installed on my 2013 Q5 a filler plate with part number 8R0807287D-T94, not the current 8R0807287E-T94 and it fits perfectly.

Not sure what you're saying. Are you suggesting that one of the below part numbers that works on your 13+ is for a 2012 or earlier model? On my Q5's (both S-Line's when they were here prior to selling my 2011) there is no way that a 2012 or older S-line filler was going to fit on the 2013 S-line (I physically tried it, and the dimensions and fitting of the plastic on the grille were different).
