Default Crosspost to NJ/NY Forum - NASA/PDA event @ Pocono - Evo crashes into staging area

Things went a little wrong for a EVO 8 driver, whom crashed into the staging area...

as per my comments, went to the event on Friday, was truly dissapointed in how disorganized this particular event was, shame on you, NASA/PDA...

That's all....<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/nynj/msgs/84108.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/nynj/msgs/84108.phtml</a</li></ul>

Default Wow... that's really horrifying!

*edit*

everything about that video is horrifying... but what exactly posessed the driver (flysolo) to pull off the track and park right in front of the wreck?

Default hmmm

that's what baffles/baffled me too, I mean, if you park there, and get out to help, different story, but I don't know, I really don't know....at least the instructor tries to get him out of there, but that doesn't seem to work all that well...

Default that's the Pocono East course, which is usually for bikes. I've seen clubs stage there, but it

should be back along the fence only, then around that small building, then hold them there until the prior sessions cooldown lap, then let them go out to that pit-out lane.

Some clubs just don't have enough people to have someone at each spot. So, people will stage all the way out to pit-out while the session is going instead of waiting back by the building. And, there can be some congestion because the cars coming off of the track have to cross the incoming cars. So, half of the cars are out in the pit-out lane while others are still back along the fence.

I've only been on Pocono East once and it was with PDA, and they had you staging like this. I didn't know that until I was already out on the pit-out lane with cars flying by. After that session, I made sure that I was one of the "late" cars for staging.

Default my guess:

she had to have been pretty upset that they were parked right where they shouldn't have been... you see her try to move the steering wheel, but the driver was totally unresponsive.

Default something from the 350z boards...

"one of my good friends girlfriend was the instructor in the car that caught the whole thing on video. She stated that she wasn't aware of the camera, and the guy in the car was friends with the guy in the EVO. They both didn't know how to drive for crap, and where trying to show boat and make a cool video for the internet - well, they got one..."<ul><li><a href="http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189833">http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189833</a</li></ul>

Default this WAS also PDA, but as per my previous posts

their organization svcked this time around, lack of interest, profesionalism, etc, I don't know, but it surely showed.

Fortunately, I had two instructors whom were really interested and helpful, but there weren't that many instructors around......

Yeah, I have not a problem listening to my instructors, and following their instructions...

This was my second and last PDA event...&lt;and btw, NOT for the reason of the crash, its the overall organization....or worse, lack thereoff&gt;
