Default My 2nd issue with the Q5!

Just ran into my 2nd "complaint" with the Q5. PLEASE tell me this is my fault and I've done something wrong

Open up the windshield washer cap and it has a filter. So I am pouring in my washer fluid but you have to pour it SO slow to avoid it overflowing as it goes through the screen. It's cold and actually somewhat difficult to tilt those big jugs, pouring at a very slow pace...

Is that just how it is on the Q5?

Filter exists in 90% of new cars, not just the Q5
This filter exists on my old A4 MY2006, MY2009 A4...........
It takes one minute to pour 4.5 liters of liquid for washing

You can simply remove the filter

The filter helps to keep crud and little bits of debris out of the tank to prevent the spray nozzles from getting clogged.

The filter is removable. You can also invest in a funnel to help you re-fill.

Wondering if it might be... didn't want to try at the time though. So, safe to just remove the filter when filling up then?

Default Yes; BTDT

As long as the fluid and bottle are clean and no precipitates. And frankly if fluid or bottle had any issues, I wouldn't use in the first place. Assuming its a recently bought bottle of fluid and cleanly stored, no worries--I've done it many times. On Audis I can usually just get it out w/ my fingers.

Okay, 1 related question... when using the wipers.. I don't really get WHERE position 5 is that causes the headlights to be cleaned too. It used to be cleaning them, but now it's not anymore...
