Upset about SQ5 wheel gap?
Don't be. Although we don't get the Euro-spec set up, it's nowhere near as bad as on this Macan I saw at the Chicago auto show today. BTW, this was Macan S with 340hp and sticker of $78k. So glad I went with SQ over this.

I like the styling. It looks good in that color. To me it's a little fresher than the Q5. It didn't seem like a $78k vehicle to me, but they will sell a lot of them.

On a derestricted autobahn, we saw an easy 160mph, and the Macan had plenty more to give. And here's the smart thing: unlike many smart Germans, the Macan can deal with gnarly roads, too. Especially riding on the £1700 optional air suspension, which is a thing of subtle magic, keeping the Porsche flat through even the most face-bending of corners without turning its ride to peanut brittle.

Air Suspension
Fully load-bearing air-spring struts with integrated dampers for three ride height settings with self-leveling and the possibility to lower rear axle to loading level. The variable damping system continuously regulates damping force to reduce body movements as the situation demands.
Off-Road Level (+40 mm) - activated via "OFF-ROAD" button between 0-55 mph
Normal Level - standard setting at any speed
Low Level (-10 mm) - activated by pressing the PASM button twice at any speed
Loading Level (-40 mm, rear only) - activated via button in the luggage compartment
Although SQ5 owners will painfully remember that until the car actually arrived in the US, we all thought we were getting Euro ride height. I hope Macan purchasers aren't similarly blind-sided. Steve

Makes sense if it's height adjustable, but car was locked so Porsche must have set it up that way for the show. Didn't read the whole sticker, just noticed the $78k total price.
