hi only just started today but its been a cold day today the coldest its been since ive had the a4 but i drove it quite hard and it goes from tickover to about 3000rpm and it misses and runs on 3 cylinders for a few seconds then its ok till the next time , ive pulled the coil packs off and one of them is really hot for some reason , ive got 2 bosch and 2 non discript , the car is a 2002 with 165k on it , would it still quallify for a coil recall if its that

Your post is very difficult to read, but I think I get the gist.

Below are 2 of the codes; the other 2 are misfires.

I believe all this points to a vacuum or intake issue. I would inspect all vacuum lines, looking for broken lines as well as integrity of the 2 check valves (one just behind the air cleaner and the other behind the intake runners). Also inspect the rubber boot that feeds the 4 intake runners.

If there is no documentation of when the last service was I might be inclined to install all new plugs and coil packs.

It definitely wouldn't hurt to do and have piece of mind that its ignition related.

We have service kits available below.

If the coil is getting hot stop running the car, get them replaced, they can sometimes short out internally and catch on fire!

the car has been into audi today for the recall as mine hadnt had one yet i waited for the car and it was over 2 hrs .
i said to the service girl had the 4 coil packs been done and she said yes so i was happy with that it also got a full inside and out wash n hoovering , but when i pulled out of the audi yard the damm thing had still got the flat spot so i pulled over to check and they hadnt replaced any at all all 4 was still ending in R.
i flew back and went mad.
she stormed into the garage part and came back with saying the part numbers on my coilpacks were the correct ones for my avj engine
but she had said they had been replaced? typical stupid dealers this is why everyone should avoid,
so long story short the car had a bloody long car wash grrrrrr

I'll jump in a different direction than coil packs and vacuum leaks. I had misfires and ultimately a CEL that my son said happened when he got above 3K RPM starting about a month ago. After looking at codes / CEL and determining it was misfires, clearing the code / CEL, replacing obviously bad check valves, having it come back most times once above 3K RPM, I decided to start digging deeper. I was nosing around all the vacuum lines and finding nothing when I decided that since I had my shopvac out, to vacuum the debris in the cowl area to keep the drains clean (I know, what does that have to do with anything) and for some reason my eyes rested on my air cleaner with a K&N sticker on it, and wondered "hmmm, wonder what my air filter looks like". I removed it and oh my; it was probably over 50% clogged. I cleaned it, reoiled it, and reinstalled. Haven't had a misfire since and even invited my son to drive the car a little aggressively at times to try and induce them.

Long way of saying check your air filter...
