Default She arrived in time for Christmas

Pretty excited. Delivery was a little behind plan but dealer managed to rush the last stage to get our new Q5 TDI in time for wife's Christmas present.

Have not driven it much but really happy with first impressions. Had a little hiccup at time of delivery. Original 18" standard winter wheel package was sold out so they tried to sub in 17" instead. I told them I did not like the substitute package so they came up with these 19" wheels that normally show up on SQ5. Cost a little more but sure glad I did. She looks good in he new "winter boots".

Needless to say my wife is "over-joyed".

Merry Christmas to all.

(Some quick bad pictures attached). Will post some better ones over the holidays.

Congrats, enjoy and, I must say, it's a very nice Christmas present. Your wife must have been on the very good list. Steve

I see you had a BMW X3. Can you comment on your comparison between the X3 and the Q5?

Looks great. Go see Ron at European Auto Tinting and get some 3M put on the front of the car. European installs the 3M for Southgate.

I plan to do just that. I drive a 2013 X3 35i & the new Q5 is my wife's. I want to drive it for a few days before I do. Need to get a better feeling for my first Audi. Stay tuned.

I'd be interested in reading your comparison too.

We shopped the X3 and Q5, although both in 2.0t trim.

We did as well but the X3 wasn't available with a diesel. I hear they are going to put the 4-cylinder diesel in the X3 later in 2014--maybe a 2015 model. Not sure. This will be comparable to the MB GLK Blue-tec but I would still choose Audi's V-6 anyday, especially since the MB 4 cylinder only gives a net 1mpg improvement over the Q5 TDI.

Just ordered a Q5 (delivery late Feb or early March) but was looking at the X3 too. Very interested to hear your thought on the two cars.
