Default On a faster note, 034 Motorsport 80tq Thunder Hill track event videos and photos...

This past weekend the infamous 599whp 80tq from 034 Motorsport made an appearance on the Thunder Hill track in Willows, CA. A few runs of video were taken of the car on the front and rear straights accelerating in a demonic manner, watch the speedometer and listen to the wastegate open.

<a href="http://www.034motorsport.com/gallery/d/899-1/80tq_TH_to_135.wmv">135mph Acceleration Video Clip</a>

<a href="http://www.034motorsport.com/gallery/d/896-1/80tq_TH_to140.wmv">140mph Acceleration Video Clip</a>

Christian Miller of 034 Motorsport (owner and driver of the white CQ at 420whp in the Eurotuner challenge) was given the keys to the 80tq and actually had the nuggets to drive the 80tq on the track at full tilt versus just opening up the throttle on the straights. This is a longer video.

Commentary from the passenger's seat provided by Chris Leal. You will notice at the end of the video that unfortunately the 4th gear in the stock transmission shears entirely which in turn grenaded the front of the gearbox inside the bell housing. Stasis confirms that this occurence was due to a heavy amount of power and unloading then loading the drivetrain as seen in the video.

We all had a great time at the event and I wanted to share the wilder side of the event

Pictures of the event can be seen here as well: <a href="http://www.034motorsport.com/gallery/v/thunder_hill_06/">034 Motorsport Thunder Hill Gallery</a>

If any of you are out in the NorCal area don't hesitate to come to track events, they are a blast!

Cheers,

Depends on which wheels, the white ones or the silver BBS's?

Default Pop your hood, go for a drive. When the hood hits the windshield you're done...

(not recommended for steel hoods).

Christian unfortunately had his CF hood blow up and it broke the corners and the frame. So it goes up and stays up without a hood prop now.
