Help wiring 2 12" Kicker L7's to a kicker 1200.1 Amp!
Ok.... How do I wire this:
A kicker 1200.1 Amp:
<img src="http://www.kicker.com/imagecache/517488b775ce3c60eeb580f694f30b91.jpg">
Class D design
frequency response 20-200 Hz
300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
1200 watts RMS x 1 at 1 ohm
1 ohm stable
MOSFET power supply
variable low-pass crossover 50-200 Hz at 12 dB per octave
KickBass provides up to 18 dB of boost at 40 Hz
switchable subsonic filter 25 Hz, 12 dB/octave improves efficiency by eliminating low frequencies below the range of human hearing
preamp- and speaker-level inputs
preamp outputs
Amp-Strapping circuit allows two KX1200.1 amps to be joined to produce double power (must be connected to a 2-ohm load)
fan-cooled
dimensions: 22-11/16"W x 2-9/16"H x 10-1/8"D
And 2 12" Kicker L7 Subs:
<img src="http://indoaudio.org/S12l7.JPG">
4 ohms DVC
Cone Materials? - Titanium Deposit Poly
Surround Material? - Rubber Santoprene
Sealed Box Volume? - 0.88 - 2
Ported Box Volume? - 1.75 - 3.25
Sensitivity? - 89.4DB
Frequency Response? - 20-0.1k Hz
RMS Power Range? - 75-750
Peak Power Handling? -1500
Top Mount Depth? - 6 13/16
Bottom Mount Depth? - 7 11/16
Cutout Diameter ? - 11 3/16
Vas? - 93.28
Fs?- 29.1
Qts? - 0.433
Xmax?- 12.7
I know I have to wire them at 1 OHM, but how do I exactly do that? can someone draw me a picture in paint or something ? L7's come in either dual 2 ohm, or dual 4 ohm... we have dual 4 ohm l7s... is this gonna work or no? Should we take them back and get dual 2 ohm? Help!

If you want a 1 Ohm load then you got the wrong speakers
2 4-ohm speakers in parallel presents a 2 ohm load. 2 2-ohm speakers in parallel presents a 1 ohm load. To wire the subs hook the positive terminal of both subs to the positive bridged channel terminal to the amp. Do the same with the negative terminals of the speakers to the negative bridge channel terminal of the amp. I don't think you need a picture of that.

no.. these are the right speakers... a dvc 4ohm yeild 2 or 8 ohm load...
...so 2 dvccan either yeild a 1 ohm or 4 ohm.
it will yeild a 1 ohm load if you just wire all the + with + and all - with -.
so it should be 4(+)terminals going to the + of the amp and 4(-)terminals going to - of the amp.

can u do that on a 4 channel amp?...
hook up all 4 + together and all 4 - together to the speaker?
i assume u mean something like this..

so, this can be done?

It is easy...
Wire each sub in parallel, then wire the 2 together in parallel. End result is a 1 ohm load.

Ok, look at this:
<center><img src="http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/images/DVC_Parallel_2.gif"></center><p>can't I wire them like this to get 1 ohm:
because it says: "Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofers: 1 Ohm"
