Default Get the 2012 A8L or wait for the 2013

Hi Folks,

Real dilemma here, the 2013 A8l V8 will have more horsepower but may also be more expensive.

Any info on the 2013 MSRP?

Thanks

i'd wait. Go 3.0T short, or 4.0T Long. Price should be better overall value vs. the 2012.

$72,300 (+ $875 dest) is sticker for a NWB 3.0. I think the LWB 3.0 is $6500 more

4.0 Pricing isnt out yet but its speculated to be about $5-$7K more than last years' MSRP due to the engine. A LWB would be about $85-$86K. But thats just speculation at this point. If you want the 4.0 Turbo, by the time you add the decent options (sure would be nice if AUDI bundled this car a bit better with Luxury options), destination, dealerfees you are looking at about $100 OTD for a LWB

I'm planing to order a 2013 LWB.

Unless an off-lease/used 2012 LWB comes in at a really attractive price and has the features on my must have list.

thats the problem, its tough to get the car with all your options without inheriting options you dont want. Otherwise, if one was flexible, one should be able to find a car for invoice.

Jake..

Are they taking orders for the 4.0 T already? Was curious what the delivery time frame would be.

Hi Anil-

Not yet - am waiting with bated breath for my salesman to call.

His estimate was early to mid May.

He told me $5k down to place an order, and it would be approximately 6 months for delivery.

We've already picked out the colors with the panels and options at the dealership so I'm getting a little antsy.

IMO, unless there will be drastic changes to the 13 (which there won't) then purchase the 12 when the 13 is on the Audi lots..you can swing a much better deal. I'd also check nationwide..you'll be amazed at the pricing differences for basically the same car, then either fly out or have it delivered

Precisely my thoughts.

Good point on looking nationwide- have only look in state so far.
Around here the color combinations are typically less than ideal, Silk is too light and still not 100% sold on Nougat.

Per my recent post it's near impossible to find dual pane glass in the Carolina's.

Edit: Just noticed there is one here with DP glass, but Titanium interior
