How many miles on a brand new S4
Thanks to the forum, I've decided to purchase a new S4. I located the perfect one in the color I want with the features I want at my local dealer, but it has 73 miles on it. The dealer tells me it's due to dealer to dealer transfer which I've heard of, but since this is the first time I've ever purchased a new car, I didn't know if that was normal or not. I've read that anything under 100 is reasonable. I'm sure there's a wide range but I just wanted to make sure this is indeed normal...maybe not common...but normal?

Mine had 21 miles on it and it was custom ordered and not test driven except as part of the normal checks and inspections.

Same with mine...factory order, delivered with 23 miles due to transportation and dealer road check before delivery. 73 miles would not concern me.

Mine had 80 miles on it, the dealer it was transferred from was over 40 miles away. I wouldn't be concerned given that it's common for these cars to have 20-30 miles on them when they come off the truck.

Dealer Transfer
If you have ordered from factory or dealer took direct from import...the car should have under 50.
However, if they have to get it from another dealership in a different state it can be more.
Sometimes the car has to be driven to a central loading point where it is put on the flat bed truck.
