Default Tech question - what is orange fluid (leaking on my garage floor)

It's oily in feel but orange/yellow in colour.

About a quater sized patch once a week - coming from mid area of the engine.

Is that too far back to be coolant?

Brake fluid??

Thanks!

The coolant is a more reddish color. Sounds like the coolant area for drippings though.

Auxilary radiator leak....mine leaked within one week of ownership, but it was CPO and also had remainder of warranty left.

Default Are you not running the belly pan? This should catch any leaks and you wouldn't see it

There are only 3 things a red/orange colored fluid could be
transmission
coolant
motor mounts

the belly pan should cover pretty much the entire underside of the motor... it has to be pretty far back to leak on to the ground

Aux Rad leak would be in front of the front tires. He said below the middle of the engine.

Default I would put money on coolant...

Both of my aux rads went... in fact in the shop right now getting the driver's side done. Coolant is oily, and I would get quarter sized drops every so often.

True, mine did that..drip in front. But I park on a slight downhill grade..so the fluid goes that direction. If he is on level ground or a slight upgrade....then its possible for the fluid to come out another place. Thats all I was saying....when i got it repaired, they did not put a price on it...just warranty repair. I am curious how much it actuallt cost though.
