Default Backup Sensor Sound

Yesterday, backup sensor speaker/sound was fine, pulled in garage.

Today I backed up, the sound on the backup sensor was muffled, low and the tone was off.

It still works, but the sound is way off?

Any ideas? I searched the forums but came up with nothing.

Unfortunately the horn went out on you. Not the easiest part to replace. Lots of panels to remove. Cheap at the dealership though.

Pretty common problem on our cars. The horn went bad. It is pretty cheap at the dealer. You can also try changing the tone through MMI and see if there is a better sounding tone

Thanks for the replies. I will get this fixed when the weather breaks.

Default C-Pillar

Are there any clear cut instructions on removing this C-Pillar to get to the backup horn? This installation sounds like the dealer could screw this up big time?

it is pia to remove all the trims to do it right, there is a short cutwhen u fold your driver side rear seat, you can reach the speaker plug, which is behind the seat belt housing, just unplug it, and plug it to the new speaker, then hide the new speaker somewhere under the rear dashboard.

I searched for it, but could not find it. Do you need to loosen the trunk trim where the seat meets the trunk? Mine is a 2005 A6.
