Default Check engine code P0171 too lean bank 1

I just had Autozone scan my car because the check engine light came on. One code came up, and the code was 16555 P0171 Fuel Trim - System Lean (Bank 1). Does anyone happen to know what this code is for? Is it for the mass air sensor? Iginition coil? And any idea what the dealer what charge to fix the problem? Thanks in advance for your help in this matter

Okay thanks. This what I told the stealer they claim say they still have to run a diagostic test. What does the dealer generally charge to fix mass air flow sensor?

Default Dont listen to dealer.

They told me it was my DV. When I asked why and told them I thought MAF the tech couldn't tell me why. He just walked away. I cleaned the MAF now twice in 4mos. First time I cleared the code and this time it cleared itself.

I'm done cleaning and bought a new one from ECS today.

FYI They'll want around $250 just for MAF part.

Default just buy a MAF and change it yourself...

it takes 10 minutes and a screwdriver and you are all set. Have autozone clear the code afterwards if need be.

Is it that easy? I'm not a mechanic. Is it easy for a non-mechanic to do? Where can I buy the mass air flow sensor? Thanks for your help

Thanks for your help. Is ECS online how much did you pay for the mass airflow sensor?

Default should be able to get a reman from the dealer for <$100...

its very easy, just two hose clamps and a wiring harness clip. Its the sensor in the black plastic pipe right after the air box. Literally takes 10 minutes even for someone not mechanically inclined.
