Default S4 Fuel Filter cut open for your inspection, car feels much stronger now

Part # 8E0-201-511-J $ 54.00 US from the dealer.
I don't understand Audi not having a service interval on this filter?
They could have just put it in for 55k outside of the warranty if it was an "included maintenance" thing?
I just did mine at 72k and the car feels much stronger.
It's just a normal paper filter inside, nothing that would last a lifetime that's for sure.

Default The pump on my car was only noisy under 30 degrees...

Hopefully we get a nice cold snap for a few nights to make sure the filter change corrected the whine.

Default My filter died at 35k

I was at the winter driving school when the car developed a consistent whine (about 10-18 degrees all day). Quite a few people said it was the pump and I took it in assuming it was the pump - it turned out to be the filter. No issues since

Default Thanks for taking the time. Hopefully no chunks of stuff came out!

Guess I'll stick with my 20k replacement interval.

Agreed. Even if you put gas in from the heavens, that is way too long. Glad you did it.

Wow, it's huge. Thanks for including the car in the pic for size reference.
