Thanks for the reply. I forgot about 'seeing' the satellites...none are showing on my MMI screen. A few years ago I had this problem and I solved it by buying an antenna suchh as an XM receiver uses....

The issue may be moot....I tried to refinish a piece of A8 wood years ago and I could not find anyway to remove the plastic over-lay. I did not, however, try blasting with some sort of medium.
