The motor mount sensor is part of the motor mount itself. Not available separately. So, one has to jack up the engine.

I don't want to just guess what happens if you don't fix it... I'm hoping...

I'm just looking for comparisons to reputable Audi dealers....

My health does not allow me to work on my own car. I don't have friends (aside from y'all) who could do it for me.

The rotors and pads were measured by Rector's technician. My car has 140k on it...

Stoney needs service advice ASAP: timing belt cost; motor mount sensor, seat motors..

Hi, again!

I'm about to drop $$$ on service at Rector, Burlingame CA. I trust George and the gang and usually get good quality per dollar.

Here is what I'm facing:

* Timing belt $2000 with...

Seat adjustment motor bogs down... anyone know of good posts on this subject?

My seat won't adjust in some directions when I'm sitting on it... weight gain hasn't been THAT bad!

When I'm not in the seat, it adjusts fine.

I'm suspecting that a part may be cracked such...

Partial answer, at least: stolen gas cap!

The Evap Emission Control System should have been a tip-off.

I'm worried, at 125k miles, that the "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold" may persist. Then, I'm off to find the cheapest,...

4.2L: "Evap Emissions Incorrect Flow," "large leak," "Catalyst below threshold"...

Does anyone have experience with these codes? I've got the 4.2L.
I couldn't spot anything obviously wrong under the engine covers. The hoses I could reach seemed fine.

Deposits or warping, is academic. Same symptom, same solution...

It is kind of irrelevant whether they vibrate due to deposits or due to warping. Both result from overheating, both are remedied by better-ventilated and better engineered rotors.

My conclusion...

Could be coincidence; not typical. Audi rotors warped terribly, but may have improved

... in recent versions of the part. That might explain it.

Here a few. My favorites were from ECS Tuning...

... give them your part number, and make sure they sell you something OTHER than stock OEM rotors.

I went without slots or drilling because my last slotted rotors hummed badly. Not necessary...

Why is a particular thread "sticky"?

For some reason, every page of the C5 forum has this message at the top.
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/showthread.php?p=23770090

Is it sticky on purpose? Or some quirk?

My old Norcal forum link doesn't refer properly....

https://forums.audiworld.com/norcal should get there.

Oddly, now, I find that https://forums.audiworld.com/norcal/ with a slash at the end does work!

Add to the "to be fixed" list.....
