I looked at Kinetik - get the Odyssey PC1700. I posted on installing one in my C5.

There is also a 1200 that is smaller. I had no issue with my cables reaching.

I recall that the Kinetik had a height problem. Also, Odyssey is made to far higher grades than Kinetik, IMO. Kinetik...

If you have lotsa broadcasters and few receivers, that means fewer ads!

At least on the side channels, until OEMs start shipping HD.

BMW is offering it and plugging it a lot, Alpine and Eclipse are offering it, JVC has it onboard, and I think Kenwood has it. Pioneer...

Metra 70-1787 amp integration harness, plus 70-1784 radio harness.

There is not a speed sense wire in the car, which many nav units either require or require for max accuracy.

The VSS signal is on the CAN bus.

I have a CAN module made by Dietz in Germany...

CORRECTION: AU2380B, new improved version.

The 90 is for the A4.

This is the NEW version of this kit. Scosche sells this to AAMP/Bestkits, but the version I got from them was the old one without the 2-DIN plate or the ISO brackets. So get...

You know you need two, right?

You need an Audi harness, and you need the Eclipse harness that came with the HU.

I can't tell from your post if you have it or not.

This "top aftermarket shop" amuses me... here's your answer

The signal from your CD changer to your HU needs to be interrupted with a signal switcher.

You can make one with two relays, or you can use a switcher like the AUX3 from Soundgate.

The CDC...

Well, heck, how can I argue with reasoning like that?

They are reliable and seem to work well. Any responses to the other points about the "slash" amps?

I think those were speaker wires, not preamp wires...

...but regardless, many LOCs adjustment screws work the opposite of what you expect. Clockwise rotation increases their resistance, which lowers signal level.

You may be going backwards.

Sigh... I need to write an article.

The HU has F and R preouts going to the Bose amp.

But in a narrow sense, he was right.

For sub-only upgrades, I recommend an amp which will take speaker level inputs, and use the sub out of...

Flat what? Legit what?

Adding a sub amp to the A4 with Bose and keeping the rest of the system is best done in my experience by using the sub output wires.

I've posted on this several times, there are posts on this in...

Here's your answer.

The Pro is supposed to be very flexible, so you might be able to do some or all of this internally with programming.

However, here's how I would do it.

I would need two 528T pulse timer...

And they shouldn't - MT RSX is a PITA.

As I recall, the Audi comfort closure is off of the key - you hold the key in the lock position for rollup, and the unlock position for rolldown.

So I beleive that when you interface with an...
