yes that's understandable, and that may be what they meant- there is also a distance from the edge of the converter to the bellhousing orso ca 1 cm- that tells you that it sits correctly , hmmm...

every manual stresses not to separate the torq converter from the tranny , but to have some sort of the bracket bolted to it- holding the converter on . What 's the big deal ? is this that difficult...

5thanks you all, I will give it a try. Already swapped two of them from the original rims and will try them on the car, If they don't fit i've lost Cdn 50. Too lazy to measure before ...oh well:)))

The mechanic quoted the different wheel speed with the larger diameter- and yes its way larger diameter. He didn't know actually if it's AWD or FWD - just brought the tires with the old rims to swap....

I was recently given, nice set of tires, but the tech refused to put them on . reason ? My old ones were 205/60/15. The Godsent ones 205/75/15. That gives different wheel speed due to the higher tire...

check the chassis end of the control arm - The one with lower balljoint on it. The only good way is to detach the ball joint and this other bar ( forgot the name (sway bar ?) but you will see it)....

All gauges down on instrument cluster, gauge lights still on

pull the plug on speedo sensor that goes into differential,with long extension unscrew 10 mm bolt on the side of the speedo sensor unit - pull the unit out. dip the oil dipstick down angle till hits...

but that's audi - nothing easy. bolts tight , axle nut tight, no movement when tug the wheel.when turning funny noise from inner CV or (God forbid) the differential. oil in the differential present....
