I know Audi Austin north just got a whole slew of very specialized tools and mounting jigs in their shop to rebuild ZF gearboxes.

Head mechanic has a D2 as well.. Just saying.,, its an option.

Well thats not good.
As Tozo and myself stated, Leaks can mess up the trans and engine.
Gunk in the coolant is likely related to a trans cooler.

2004 w/ Airbags is a D3 A8, not a D2. However, the Airbags on the A8s have dust covers so they're more resilient than the ones on the Allroad which do not have dustcovers and fail badly costing...

The factory amp is below the Disk Changer in the back.

Held in by some 10mm bolts and nuts. Its basically a 6 channel amplifier.
The connector is a hook end connector with the hook on the bottom.

Here is the wiring diagram for the connection.

I'd personally recommend you default Threaded mode, disable linear mode, and reset ever user's settings to Threaded.
