A 3 liter has 220hp. Variable valve timing is mainly for emissions more than top end performance. Just don't connect it.

ah in that case, probably not even a problem as it stands right now. Once you tighten the clamp, it will pull the rest of the exhaust in and the flex pipe will take care of any engine to body...
