2nd on a new O2 sensor. My '04 1.8 6M is getting 26 -27 average driving

and 32 on highway in recent weeks. Chang O2 and 2nd on checking the MAF also.
Pull codes.

Update from Audi Dealer diagnostic tech

My son took the car to the local dealer here in Minneapolis (Carosel) and had a tech that seemed knowledgeable look at the codes.
He said that the two codes that are listed on the cam lobe wear TSB...

After more web searching I am beginning to suspect HP fuel pump cam follower

and/or Worn cam lob for HP fuel pump due to wear on the cam which may be the one-piece Rev A cam.
When my son returns we will check if he has rev A or B cam and check the FP cam lob follower for...

We didn't have a current VAG system before the CEL began to appear

After the codes we upgraded the system to the current cable and software and then pulled these codes.
I will tell him to clear codes and then check again. It may take a month or so because he will...

I just had this fun project last week - '04 1.8TQ6M

I tried to use CA but it didn't work. It didn't look like epoxy would have bonded to the plastic.

I ended up fabing a piece of brass sheet 1/2 inch wide and bent to ~90 degrees then pop riveted it...

Your may want to check the Colorado laws on this.

Here in Minnesota there is a law that requires that the customer be shown the old parts. No parts, No pay.
