It's definitely light to mid throttle only, and I've experienced the same jerkiness when held in gear. I'll have to see if I can log the status of the valve body and see if it's intentionally...

2017 Q7, adaptive chassis, been chasing down what I thought was a slipping supercharger pulley, but have narrowed it down to what I believe is the torque converter itself or some crappy code....

I believe so. I recall Safelite saying they had to get it from the dealer. At the end of the day I had the dealer do it just in case there were any issues with calibration.

You should get a guide with the rings you purchase for gap size

It depends on boost level and material of the rings. The higher the boost, the larger the gap. Mine are on the large size ;)
