Out of curiosity, is there a list of common issues with the SQ8?
I have been considering an SQ8 since the beginning of the year and have almost pulled the trigger a few times but keep backing out.

Agreed. the car market has been in a crazy place for a couple years, but i think it will eventually return to normal. I can afford over MSRP but i wont pay it out of principle.

Annoying noise - S5 cab

Anyone have any idea what this noise is? It get louder as speed increases. The car is moving around 45mph in the video.

Nope. You're paying more for the hatch back and exclusivity. The cars, when optioned identical are the same minus the hatch and some styling parts.

What's everyone's take on plastidip? I was thinking about applying plastidip in anthracite grey with a coat of glossifier.

You can get a rough idea as to how long they had the car by looking at the manufacturing date on the sticker inside the driver door sill.

If it says 7/13, that means it was built in July of 2013....

Road hazard triangle?

Was reading in the manual that inside the tailgate, there is supposed to be a road hazard triangle? I opened the compartment for where they said it would be and it was empty. Anyone else have one?

You can run 87 but the engine will probably sense knock and move your car into a bad fuel table, preventing detonation. This means your car won't be damaged but it won't perform as it should.

I noticed when streaming audio in my 2012 A7, the playback timer displays 0:00 and never changes, yet my wife's 2013 A5 will display the timer correctly. I'm assuming the MMI needs an update?

Others have done 5 or 6% off msrp. It depends on the dealer and what you are looking at. I bought a 2012 A7 in Dec of 2012 for 4k under invoice. Deals are out there.

So I did some research and it looks like this used to be common... No posts in a long while though. I'll get it replaced under warranty and cut a piece of transparent vinyl to cover it.
