OK thanks for that advice. Obviously the standard clamp and strap racks would damage the plastic top edge of the rear hatch door. Yours does appear to be the best option.

Q5 Bike racks

My other car with a trailer hitch is gone, so that leaves my Q5 to take our three bikes to the beach. A roof rack is out because I'll also be toting a cargo box. I don't really want to spring for an...

Follow Up

My Audi service rep says they don't even carry 20 weight and have always used Castro 5W-30; apparently they have stickers that pre-print the wrong weight which he intends to have changed to avoid...

Gee, thanks for the input and the tech bulletin. I plan to call my service guy right away. I can't imagine they would be making such a blunder but there definitely is not a single 20 weight product...

How often to change the oil?

I know much has been written on the subject, and the more posts and comments I have read, the less clear I've become. So with your indulgence, here it is: My 2010 Q5 3.2 has 94K miles. I have enjoyed...

Agree

I've been driving over 40 years and have had dozens of cars, including M-B M class, Cadillac SRX and Escalade, Infiniti Q, but I have to say my 2010 Q5 is in the top three (with 1985 Saab 900T and...

Thanks to all

For better or worse, it's at the dealer. Incidentally, I have a new A4 loaner and was on the highway with it today; kind of twitchy, the Q5 is way more stable at speed and in holding the line.

Ouch...$675 lighter today

92,000 on my 2010 Q5, and I guess living on borrowed time because it has been trouble free for it's whole life, save for DRLs and the plastic water pump issues. The air bag light came on and my...

I own both

My wife drives the SRX as her regular car, it just went past 12k miles, but I drive it on long trips. My Q5 3.2 is approaching 60k, so the SRX is becoming more our "road trip" car. The Q is much more...

I have this issue as well and seeing as I just went over 50,000, access to the TSB might help me convince my dealer they need to cover this. I had my last service at 49,000 and if they knew about the...

Thanks. I just saw it when I scrolled to read other posts. I surely hope my dealer is not going to charge me when this is an issue that came out in a TSB. It sounds like it could be really...

Thanks. Mine is an early 2010, and seeing as it's still under warranty, they are just going to have to figure it out. I'll post further adventures; hopefully this won't be a never ending saga.
