Guys, it's been a great run. I've bought a CTS-V

It's the only thing I could find that suited my needs but still had more cowbell than the S4. Check the classifieds forum for my for sale posting for my S4. I can't believe I've actually done this.

Call Raudel at REISU at 281-999-0500. Unfortunately, he's on I-45 North, so it's a haul to get up there from Sugar Land. I know, but that's where I go.

I love my S4 (still) but don't like this...

...we now have the feel of any of hundreds of completely forgettable forums devoid of a sense of open and lively discussion. It feels like a web-based email program now. Quattroworld will be for me...

Don't worry. If you were on the jury that convicted them this time...

...that will probably excuse you from serving on the jury in a few years when it's their time to get convicted for something else.

OK, I'd believe it.

I figured once that once a car reaches 150,000 miles it's "depreciated" to zero and only worth what someone would pay for it as a klunker based on looks, utility and expected future reliability. ...

Wow. That's like 4x as much as my warranty cost...

...and I get warranty coverage for 2009, 2010 and probably some of 2011 as well.

Of course, no mods. I suffered through that bug with my S4.

For most nose-heavy Audis, rear toe close to zero (.00-02 in), front toe slightly in (.03-05).

More front toe in if you want better turn-in at the expense of treadwear.

In the states would be nice, and not associated with MTM..

...if they do it, I could just buy an extra car instead of doing the conversion for the same price.

So has anyone pulled off a manual transmission conversion yet?

If I can find one of those and dump the DRC suspension, I might have to pick up a previously loved RS6 one of these days.

A 0.4" diameter difference on a spare tire used sparingly will be fine...

...if the bigger tire's tread is worn down and the spare tire's tread is not, their diameters are going to really be the same in that situation anyway.

My S4 has a full-size spare. The inflatable spare in the allroad...

...has a lot to do with the allroad's tire diameter being larger than that on a regular A6.

It is a defect -- a design defect.

Of course Audi defends all of their design defects with a "functions within spec" or "normal" rebuttal.
