Up to this point, wife's '15 Q5 3.0T had all its oil changes done at the dealer. I'm going to be doing the next one myself. Is Mann 7029 the correct oil filter for this engine?

Yeah, my indy will do it for $300 less, plus they'll actually check first if new brakes are really needed it since the sensor warning hasn't gone off yet.

Wife's 2015 Q5 is currently at 33K miles. She'll probably keep it 3 more years at most. By that time it'll have 50-55K miles. I don't think I'll be bothering with a trans fluid change.

This is one of the weirdest noises I've heard on a car. When you turn (regardless if braking or not, regardless if accelerating or not), you hear this metallic noise, as if some part was sliding...

I thought it was also because the SQ5 is heavier, but I just looked up the weight specs, and there does not appear to be much weight difference between Q5 3.0T and SQ5, so I guess you are correct.
