Oil change time. Need filter recommendation.

It's been years since I've done my own oil since I've been driving new cars. Nevertheless, it's time to change the oil on my newly acquired '01 Avant 1.8TQMS. What's everyone using for an oil filter...

I got it in the mail

In my opinion, they're looking to increase revenue through 'out of warranty' repairs. A preventative timing belt change at 60K is $700.00+. A new head and related work for a broken timing belt at...

Try baffling the OEM sub enclosure first

It will take out some of the 'drone' you're referring to and soften the 'punch' a little. Could be a cheaper and quicker alternative to building something from scratch.

Congratulations! What is the background story?

How did you come by the car and manage to get it federalized to drive here?

I don't think Velcro will have the right action for the sunshade.

I want it to sort of 'snap' shut like it normally would with the latch. Good idea for a short term solution until I can solidify my idea.

Thanks...

The FAIL was at getting just the bow, not your post FTR. I did stipulate the 'B' suffix but according to this dealership, it's the entire shade. I'll try again without the 'B' and have him compare...

Sweet. You wouldn't happen to have a part# would you?

I can just imagine the sheer befuddlement of the parts dept if I try to explain what I'm looking for. Thats after I give them the VIN of course.

Is the sunshade latch a serviceable part or does the whole shade need replacing

If the latch breaks? My [2nd] latch broke and I need to get it fixed. The parts guy said I need a whole new shade but he's also the same guy who said he needed my VIN to check stock on a set of...

If tozog has a 3G iPhone, I don't think that adapter will charge it.

I have the factory iPod adapter but it won't charge my 3G iPhone. Many 3rd party chargers that used to work with the 1st gen iPhone don't work with the 3G. Just as a PSA, ask the vendor if their...

Sounds like Satan coming to town.

I was speaking to Javad when they had the car on the dyno. someone opened the door to the dyno room and I could hear the car in the background. Never heard anything like it.

Re: YES!

Yes, mine is an '06 2.0T so it should work but I've learned never to assume anything when it comes to interoperability and differing part numbers. I've got a call in to my parts guy now and am...

Re: YES!

According to my VIN, my car calls for an 'F'. If I can get confirmation that the 'D' will work, I'll make an offer.
