I was granted a temp tag when my big left toe suffered a stress fracture. Even though I could still walk well enough alone (though it did hurt), I did use the tag for the first couple of weeks or so....

That may be true, but you *will* be interacting with the interior ALL the time. The A5 is an awesome place to spend time in, more so than probably all the cars in (sometimes above) its price range.

Open the trunk, there's a cubby hole to your left with the amp and other MMI whatnot in there

When tinting the rear window, water can (read: probably will) trickle down the c-pillar and leak onto the amp, shorting it out as soon as you turn it on.

If you stuff said cubbyhole with towels...

All you have to do is stuff the space with the amps with towels

Sorry about your troubles, but it has been recommended before. Even if they're careful during the tinting process the chances of it happening are still very high. Just stuff the little amp closet...

much smoother, less effort needed to maintain higher speeds

didn't "feel" faster, but it did require less input to maintain high speeds (90-135MPH range).

revved like butter. nothing negative to say for now.

now i'll ask: why is 109 bad?

Oh absolutely. It's not something I'll be doing often, if at all. Just a cool surprise.

I had CVT in my B6 as well (no launch control then). It's a much more robust transmission nowadays.

just discovered CVT has launch control...

or a form of...

Turn off ESP, slide into S, depress brake and accelerator (haven't tried it any other way, really) = revs hold at ~4500RPM.

Release brake and the car scoooooots.

Yes, so it's...

Any decent exhaust shop can adjust those. If you see where I had to adjust mine...

Hole in the wall place, but they came highly recommended and did a great job (this is on an A5). Adjustment is easy.

I have no real basis for comparison... but I will say it isn't the least bit uncomfortable

unless your roads are of the need-to-be-fixed-right-now variety. They pull and track a little over cats-eyes, and due to their size are a bit noisy at high speeds, but the looks (I know, personal)...

Seen them in person?

Sorry, had to ask that. All I get are compliments on my Y's. Few people think they're stock when they first see them.

what kind of pulley reduction mods do you predict we'll see?

Did some poking around some Cooper S forums and 15%, 17% and 19% seem to be the most popular pulley reduction choices. There seem to be dramatic differences between the three, performance-, heat- and...
