Congrats! I agree about the CTS. It's come a long way but it's got a way to go.

I felt the same way about the seats. I just couldn't get into a comfortable position and my knee kept rubbing against the center console and was sore by the end of the test drive.

Have fun with...

A lease rate of 0.00006 is practically 0%. Most are going under invoice too.

Some on this forum have said they've purchased for $1-2k under invoice even. What more are you looking for? Try another dealership if you aren't getting a sweet deal.

However, if you're counting...

Our taste in cars are similar.

Three months ago we bought our '08 Q7 S-line in black (wife) and an '08 535i sport in Artic white (me). This was my first BMW and I have to say I'm very impressed so far. It's the fastest and best...

That sounds pretty fair to me.

It's easier to get a better deal on non S-lines but I think $4,000 under MSRP is a pretty decent deal for an S-line. That sounds almost identical to our Q7 except we got the 20" wheels.

We had...

<fast forward three months>

AutoUnionQ7:
"I remember the good 'ole days when gas was $4.11 a gallon. Ahhhh, what I wouldn't give..."

I feel your pain. It helps a little knowing that our business is paying the bill so...

My Vote: the retarded cup holders in the doors - front and back

It might hold a bottle with a cap but never a soft drink with a straw. Besides, trying to get a bottle in or out of there while you're driving is suicide.

Re: MililaniTT, we have similar tastes.

I agree on the dash. I've always thought BMW dash designs were boring and dated but now that I've spent time in it I actually find it to be very clean and uncluttered compared to Audi, Lexus and the...

Additional two cents, no charge!

I found the seats very comfortable, the ventilation worked amazingly well since I tested it on a hot day. It put the GS seat ventilation to shame. The only thing I didn't like was that my knees hit...

Trim adhesive sticking out

'08 3.6 S-Line (1500 miles on the odometer). Has anyone had this happen?

It's coming off on both sides, rear doors, leading edge. Driver's side is out about twice as far as passenger's side. ...

Rust!!!!

2005 TT 3.2, kept in garage the whole time, washed regularly, no salt on the roads in Hawaii (just ocean air but we live 20 miles away from the shoreline at 1,000 elevation).

It's located in the...

My beef with the CTS and every other American car is less about reliability and more

about fit, finish and quality of materials. If I'm spending $48k for a CTS I want it to look and feel like it's put together with quality materials and with high standards. While the CTS is a huge...

Here are my impressions of the CTS and others (very long!)...

I wanted a fast sedan due to a serious case of "leadfootitis" which worsened while owning a large American SUV. Determined to find the cure at a max price of $60k I unfortunately had to rule out...

Every person posting was able to parallel park before rearview cameras.

But if you had the choice why wouldn't you want something that makes it easier and much safer for you, pedestrians, pets, other vehicles, etc. Not to mention the fact that your mirrors distort...

Perhaps I'm mechanically ignorant but why would this spike rpms and make drive-offs jerky?

I'm sure there have been far more incidents of children getting hit by reversing cars

that couldn't be seen by looking out the back or in mirrors.

Besides, who would rely on a camera if they're backing out into a street with oncoming traffic? People have been getting hit while...

No doubt, go for the camera. More thoughts inside...

The Q7 is the first car I've had with it and now every time I get into my 535i I look at the screen expecting to see the rear view image and I'm always disappointed that it's not there!

In my...

Same here. It idles between 1200-1300 rpm for first 30 seconds then

settles back down to around 800 rpm. If I drive off while the rpm's are still high then it's a little jerky until it gets warmed up. I live in Hawaii so it's not a "cold" factor but just the fact...

For what it is I'm pretty happy with it.

My previous SUV had big GY Wranglers which were loud and mushy so this is a different beast. I do think it handles better than the non s-line Q7's I test drove on 18's and 20's but I don't remember...

Boy, Audi fit and finish has really gone downhill. So much for tight seams.

LOL!

Okay, I'll be the first to ask. Why would you wait to take delivery until some time in May? I would be there first thing in the morning banging on the door. Are you hoping for a better...

My Q7 is also new but I have the Eagle LS and not LS2's. (20" S-line)

I haven't driven a Q7 on anything else so I don't have a comparison but I've had sports cars and sports sedans on very expensive tires and so far I'm impressed with how the Q7 handles for a car this...

Wow! Playing around with MMI and discovered Bose Surround Sound.

I selected it for the front seats and almost had a heart attack. It was like going from a CD to being in the front row of a concert.

I haven't read the manual yet so I'm not sure exactly what the...

They would be more popular if the dealer didn't exploit their monopoly status.

Prices start at MSRP and they usually tack on $1-6k non-negotiable depending on the popularity of the car. Then, since their volume is low (wonder why) they don't have much selection. They neighbor...
