Funny you ask.

I got the sport package, which came with 19" Summer tires....Bridgestone RE050A, just like the summer tires on the 18" sport package for the B8. ;)

In short, I love my G8 GT. It's turned into my favorite car out of all the cars that I've owned.

Interesting tidbit...

For February 2009, Audi sold 2,202 A4s in the US. Interestingly, Pontiac sold 2,705 G8s in the same month.

Now, before I get roasted for bringing this up, I realize that not too many would...

I have my G8 GT, but will have the wife look at the SHO when her lease is up.

The Avant that she wants is going to be too expensive, even though I'd like to stay with Audi. She used to have a 95 SHO, so this is something to consider.

I've only driven ADS-equipped sedans without the sport package, so I can't say if it would be much harsher.

But, if you don't think you need the additional tweaks you get for throttle and steering...

Ask yourself...

Do you mind having a portable Nav that you have to mount somehow (and then decide to mount it ghetto style or take the time or pay the money to have it done so it looks good), get power to it somehow...

I believe it's one of the things that we don't get here.

We have them on our 06 A4 2.0T S-Line, but I don't think the B8 has them in any trim or option.

Different cars. I had sport in my Avant. The A3 2.0T back then was only FWD and I didn't have sport.

That said, I thought it was a blast to drive, primarily because of DSG (wish I could have DSG...

To me and my wife, the sport package makes a big difference.

We're no autocrossers, but we've test driven non-sport A4s and we prefer the tighter handling of the sport package-equipped A4s.

My 02 A4 Avant had sport and my wife's 06 A4 Sedan has sport (06...

In person, it looks much better.

Not saying I'd get one, but if the wife wanted one instead of B8 Avant, I'd be open to considering it. It looks like the top of the line CC maxes out at $41K,...

When my wife was driving, Nick commented that "you like to 'drive', don't you?" It was funny because she was taking it to the corners pretty well.

I agree. The B8 is a tremendous improvement...
