Don't know, but had it done...

I was told if I remove it to have it painted I should just go ahead and purchase a new one since it comes with a strip of 3m tape that secures it to the trunk lid...so I took the chance of having it...

74,000 and counting...

bought it new with 7 miles on it in Feb. '06. Aside from a leaking air hose and A/C blowing extra hot air, the car has been outstanding. I even took it on a 2500 mile rod trip to Houston and back.
