I have the same problem. But I know now what the noise might be. It could be the spring clip that holds the caliper tight. Nothing to worry about except if that part comes off it could cost you...

Yes, the Diverter valve is rather easy. Its almost plug and play!! There are three allen head bolts and an electric connector. Disconnect the electric connector, then the three allen head bolts....

Go to youtube and type in Audi s4 front brakes and there is a two part video to tell you how to change the brake pads and rotors! good luck it helped me change mine a couple of months ago.

Well, got the part in from ECStuning.com today. I finished puting on the new 710D electronic piston diverter valve. It was a dooosy. I had a hard time getting to the bolts. What a pain in the neck....
